What does office cleaning involve?

Before we list everything we can do it’s important to understand our aim is to make your business life as convenient as possible.

We appreciate your staff are paid to concentrate on profit-driving tasks, not dusting down shelves and cleaning sinks. We try to take on as much as is reasonably possible to save you or your staff having to clean. We love the feeling of leaving a workplace clean and fresh for your staff to enjoy.

The following is an example list of Core Services basic office cleaning, which is to a higher standard than most average office specifications:

Sanitize hard surfaces and touch points:
Door handles
Light switches
Telephone sets
Keyboards and mouse sets
Desk tops
Drawer handles
Chair backs and armrests
Window fittings
Black plastic on computer fittings
Bin lids
Kitchen surfaces and tiles
Tea/coffee canisters
Microwave front (for hygiene reasons internal area should be cleaned by staff after each use)
Fridge front and internal shelves
Sink and tap fittings
Cupboard handles
Hand rails in toilet cubicles
Soap and hand towel dispensers
Toilets and urinals

Limescale treatment as needed

Damp dusting:
Shelving
Storage units
Chair legs and plinths
Skirting boards
Windowsills
Tops of cubicle partitions

Empty bins and replace liner. Rinse as needed.

Cob-webbing.

Floor cleaning:
Vacuuming
Hard floor mopping

Finishing touches:
Replenish consumables
Advise on any stock reordering
Spray room freshener
Closing checks

This is just an example. We build each service from scratch as each site has different requirements. We have a flexible approach and can add in extras as needed.

There are a few things Core Services operatives are unable to clean.

These include: vehicles, windows, outdoor areas, humans or animals (yes, really), machinery, driveways, and clothing. They are unable to use bleach and cannot work at height.

How can I keep my workplace safe from the mutated corona virus? The mutated corona virus is far more contagious than the previous strain. To protect your workplace double down on your existing safety measures. Here’s what we are recommending to our manufacturing clients: Split your workplace into zones such as: • Shop floor • Office spaces • Kitchens • Toilets • Warehouse/storage Whenever moving into a different zone carry out these hygiene measures: • Wear a mask • Maintaining social distancing • Wash hands or change gloves Between each zone? Yes, between each zone. Even if it’s only a few feet from the shop floor to the office? Yes! To really keep your staff safe use cleaning products designed to attack enveloped viruses. And make sure your cleaning operatives are touchpoint cleaning trained. Our operatives have always been touchpoint trained since Core Services began in 2015. If you want a cleaning service you can count on you can call us during office hours on 01384 918 451. Or you can fill in the contact us form and we will get back to you within one working day.
